This is a great quote about being a writer living in New England

"Even my dog as we walk in the woods gives me the impression that he is familiar with the writings of Henry David Thoreau and is curious to know how I feel about certain of his ideas."

Charles Simic, on living in New England, in an interview with the Paris Review

Love this quote. That Simic.

(I requested you as a friend on goodreads. I want to read cool poetry books like you do. I've cooled off on reading poetry lately, but I miss it.)

The poetry book that I've been the most excited about recently is Karyna McGlynn's I Have to Go Back to 1994 and Kill a Girl.
